Shaun and Courtney have to be some of the most genuine and kind souls I’ve met. They are both soft spoken, smiling, and gentle people.
I was so happy to be a part of their spacial day at Cedarwood Weddings in Nashville. One of my absolute favorite parts of the day was Shaun whisking Courtney away in his VW bug. It was decorated by their friends with flowers from Cedarwood and classic shoe polish reading “Hawaii Bound”
I asked Courtney to give me a snippet of their love story and this is what she shared with me!
Shaun and I are high school sweethearts, we met at the same small high school in Pennsylvania where my parents fell in love years before us.
Most of our relationship we spent separated by distance as we went on to college and my family eventually moved to Nashville. While the distance was hard, it only strengthened our relationship. It proved our loyalty and love for one another.
Over the years I’ve fallen in love with the passion and determination in everything Shaun does. Whether working to get his car ready so that we can ride away in it on our wedding day, or the way he never wavered in our relationship no matter where in the world I went.
We had the privilege of growing up together. Though it wasn’t always convenient or easy we chose one another again and again.
I’ll never forget Shaun asking me to spend forever with him and realizing that soon we wouldn’t be apart. When that day finally came I don’t think I stopped smiling I was so filled with joy.
I am so thankful for the story only God could have written for us, and I can not wait to spend the rest of my days by Shaun’s side.
