bride and groom

I ADORED working with Kaitlyn, JP, and all the amazing vendors included in this day. Kaitlyn had a vision she wanted and Melody with Refined Social Events ran with it! A few of my favorite elements of the day were the custom logo designed by Claudia Engle Designs, the stunning greenery in the tent by Refined Social Events, and the after party setup by Refined Social Events.

Here is a little bit about the couple!
Kaitlyn and JP started dating 10 years ago in high school. JPs outgoing personality was just what Kaitlyn needed to compliment her bashfulness.
Their first date they went to the movies to see Chronicles of Narnia. They also ventured over to lovers leap in there hometown of Pikeville, Kentucky. Everyone that knows JP, knows how big it was for him to face his fear of heights to sit on the top of lovers leap to enjoy her company for the evening. Not only did JP face his fear of heights that night, he also unexpectedly was turned down for a first kiss too which of course left him more interested.
There were many more dates to come after that. They spent most of that summer on the lake and Kaitlyn followed him to many of his golf tournaments.
They both went to separate colleges which made for many long trips to see each other and each visit sweeter. After graduation they both moved back to Lexington and from there they were inseparable.
Everyone knew a proposal was just a matter of time. April 7th JP popped the question on opening weekend of Keeneland spring meet. They were surrounded by their closest friends and family. Who would have ever thought that the snow in spring would add such a beautiful touch to their photos that day.
Six months later they had their dream wedding on the Justice family farm. Kaitlyn’s dad manicured a pasture by a 10 acre pond. With a bridal party of 22, its safe to say that these two felt the love from all their family and friends.
