Catherine & JL’s wedding in Louisville, Kentucky at the Refinery was one that we won’t forget for years to come! I met Catherine in 2017 while waiting on a table in Florence, Italy. We ended up sitting together, eating homemade pasta and sharing far too many bottles of wine – and the rest as they say, is history! Quite the romantic meet-cute for a wedding planner and client!
This wedding had so many special and unique touches from the welcome boxes filled with local goodies like jockey silk chocolate lollipops, Louisville’s best chocolate chip cookie, and of course – local bourbon.
Guests enjoyed a rehearsal dinner aboard the CQ Princess yacht as they cruised up and down the river, sipping champagne and taking in views of the Louisville skyline.
On the wedding day, they dined under greenery-filled chandeliers surrounded by exposed brick in a historic building, before moving into a room filled with fog, disco balls and greenery where they danced the night away.
Than as a final touch before ending the evening, we lead the guests back into the original building for a special kareoke after-party; a nod to one of the couple’s favorite past times.
This wedding was so special and full of love, and we adored planning every single detail!
